Carbis Bay House
Carbis Bay, near St Ives, Cornwall — Sleeps 8 — Dogs welcome
Carbis Bay House is a reverse-living property set above Carbis Bay, half a mile from the beach and two miles from St Ives. It sleeps eight across four bedrooms, has panoramic views across Carbis Bay and the coastline from almost every room, a hot tub on the tiered patio garden and a balcony off the lower floor living space. The South West Coast Path runs from the bottom of the garden directly to Carbis Bay Beach. Private parking for three cars and an EV charger. One dog welcome.
Carbis Bay beach is a calm, sheltered stretch of sand — noticeably quieter than the St Ives beaches and more accessible for dogs outside the summer restriction period. St Ives is two miles by road or walkable via the coast path, with the St Ives Bay Line running between the two if you prefer the train.
Carbis Bay House is managed directly by the owner. The link below takes you straight to their website to check availability.
The layout is inverted — bedrooms below the main living space, which maximises the views from where you spend most of your time. The entrance level has a contemporary kitchen with a Nespresso machine and a snug with a Smart TV — a quieter space away from the main living area. A family shower room is also on this level.
Downstairs, the main living space spans the full width of the house with sliding patio doors opening onto the balcony. Coastal tones, comfortable seating and a dining room on the upper floor with the best views in the house — across the rooftops and out to sea.
Four bedrooms on the lower ground floor. A super-king en-suite with a balcony terrace. Two king-size zip-and-link bedrooms, configurable as twins on request. A further king-size bedroom. A contemporary family bathroom completes the sleeping floor.
One dog welcome.
A tiered patio garden with a hot tub, alfresco dining on the decking and sea views from sunrise to sunset. The South West Coast Path runs from the bottom of the garden — direct access to Carbis Bay Beach without needing the car. A large balcony off the main living space.
