On site, there are miles of woodland paths to explore at a relaxed pace, as well as a large playing field – a level, open space great for dogs on a long lead and gentle exercise close to your accommodation. The wider Ambleside area offers a good choice of walking routes of varying lengths and difficulty, and the reception team at Skelwith Fold can provide local walking maps and suggestions during your stay.
Lake Windermere is also within walking distance, making it easy to enjoy lakeside strolls and quieter spots for dogs who enjoy a paddle. When it’s time to stop, there’s no shortage of dog friendly pubs nearby, with several options welcoming dogs both indoors and out.

Cottage 1 has been upgraded and now comfortably sleeps 8 guests with the addition of a fourth double bedded room.
