Seaton Tramway offers a day out in Devon like no other. If you’ve never ridden a tram before, now’s your chance to step back in time and travel in vintage style. With open-top double-decker trams for panoramic views over the Axe Estuary and enclosed carriages for rainy days, there’s something to suit every traveller and every type of weather. The Seaton Tramway also allow well behaved dogs onboard!

Your journey isn’t just about the ride. At Colyton Station, you’ll find a gift shop packed with souvenirs, local produce, sweet treats, books, and tram-themed goodies, perfect for taking a little bit of the day home with you. And when you need a bite to eat, the Tramstop Café offers freshly cooked meals using local ingredients, along with the much-loved Devon clotted cream teas.

The best way to explore the Tramway is with an Explorer Ticket, giving you unlimited travel all day on any tram, at any time. You can hop on and off as you like to explore the five stops along the route, including the newest additions: Riverside Halt and Seaton Wetlands Halt. Children under two travel free with an adult.

Seaton Wetlands Halt gives you access to 4km of peaceful walking trails through nature reserves rich in wildlife, ideal for birdwatchers and outdoor lovers. Riverside Halt offers picnic spots beside the River Axe and a great vantage point to watch the trams go by. You might even catch a glimpse inside the working Depot, with tours running throughout the year.

Seaton Tramway is a family-friendly attraction with a packed calendar of events including The Dinosaur Tram Adventure, The Fairy Special, Pirate Tram, The Space Tram, The Story Tram, and the ever-popular POLAR EXPRESS™ Tram Ride. Birthday parties, weddings, corporate bookings, and private hire are all welcome, whatever the occasion.

For an extra special experience, try a Driver’s Eye Experience or one of our Tram Driving Lessons, available. Or hop aboard the Bird Hide on Wheels for a gentle ride through two nature reserves.

Pre-booked groups and individual visitors are welcome all year round. Selected trams are accessible for wheelchairs, just call on the day of travel to confirm availability. Well-behaved dogs on leads are also welcome aboard, making it a great dog-friendly day out in Devon.
