Located in Hayle, known for its laid-back surf scene, open-water swimming and wide, walkable beaches, the area is also a haven for birdwatchers and nature lovers thanks to the nearby RSPB estuary. Hayle was the first town in Cornwall to receive “Walkers Are Welcome” status, so there are plenty of well-kept paths to enjoy — many dog-friendly and easy to access from the doorstep. The town itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay, with shops, galleries, restaurants and supermarkets all close by. St Ives and the Tate Gallery are within 6 miles, and the surrounding coastline is easy to explore, with scenic drives connecting both north and south coasts in around 15 minutes.
Inside, the house is spread across three levels and has been thoughtfully styled throughout by an interior designer.
There’s underfloor heating and space to shake off sandy shoes in the hallway, plus a private master bedroom on the ground floor with floor-to-ceiling windows, a four-poster super-king bed, en suite shower room and private balcony. A twin bedroom and family bathroom are also on this level. Upstairs, the open-plan kitchen, dining and living space is bright and sociable, with bi-fold doors leading onto a balcony overlooking the harbour. A final mezzanine bedroom sits above the living space with a king-size bed and en suite shower.
For beach days and watersports, there’s a secure outdoor store and even a private mooring. One parking space is included, and dogs are welcome to join you — making this a calm, contemporary base for a dog-friendly holiday in Cornwall.
