For a slower pace, RHS Rosemoor and the historic fishing village of Clovelly are also close by.

Spread across three floors, the house is full of space, light, and thoughtful touches. There are two living rooms to spread out in – one downstairs with a wood burner and one upstairs as part of an open-plan kitchen and dining space. Large windows bring in the views and natural light, and there’s even a mezzanine snug for quiet moments, books or board games.
Four bedrooms are spread across the house, each with comfortable beds and calming décor. One downstairs bedroom opens directly onto the terrace, perfect for early risers or those after a bit of privacy. Upstairs, the master bedroom has far-reaching views across the valley. There are three bathrooms in total, so there’s plenty of space for everyone.
Outside, the setting is a real highlight. You can step straight onto the Tarka Trail from the garden for long dog walks or bike rides, or just stay put and enjoy the riverside setting from the raised deck or the wood-fired hot tub. There’s a lawn for garden games, a BBQ for warmer evenings, and even a platform for launching paddleboards into the water.
