Shepards Retreat

Cotswolds, South West

Tucked away on eighty acres of stunning organic farmland, this charming, dog friendly retreat in the heart of the Cotswolds consists of two shepherd’s huts cleverly connected to create a cosy, welcoming space.

About Shepards Retreat

2 bedrooms, 3 beds
1 bathroom

The living area of Shepards Retreat is brimming with rustic character, complete with a wood-burning stove to keep you and your dog(s) toasty on cooler evenings. But it’s the outdoor space that really steals the show. Step out onto the terrace to find a beautiful sunken hot tub, just waiting for you to relax under the stars with a glass of wine, or a non-alcoholic tipple if that’s more your style.

There’s also an outdoor dining area, a lovely formal garden, and a fire pit – ideal for gathering around to share stories after dark. There are also plenty of scenic local footpaths to explore with your dog, that wind their way through the Cotswold countryside and up to Bredon Hill, or simply take an afternoon stroll to the nearby pub, just two miles away. With endless picture-perfect Cotswold villages nearby, you’ll never be short of things to do in this dog-friendly slice of Cotswolds luxury.

Once a major pilgrimage destination, Winchcombe is home to the stunning Sudeley Castle, the final resting place of Queen Katherine Parr, surrounded by breathtaking gardens just outside the town.

The surrounding countryside is a haven for walkers, with scenic trails like the Cotswold Way passing through, treating you to stunning views of the rolling hills that define this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Winchcombe’s vibrant community spirit shines through its independent shops, artisan bakeries, and cosy pubs – perfect spots to enjoy a traditional English meal after a day of exploring. Ideal for a luxury dog-friendly holiday, this hidden gem in the Cotswolds offers plenty to see and do.
